Filmyzilla Alternatives 2026: 7 Legal Apps to Watch Bollywood, South and Hollywood Movies

Please read our Privacy and Risk Policy before using this site.

People look for a Filmyzilla alternative when they want the same movies without the pop-ups, malware and legal risk. This guide compares the 7 licensed platforms, shows which one suits each language, lists the free options, and explains how to tell a legal site from a piracy site.

Best Legal Alternatives to Filmyzilla

The best alternative depends on the language you watch most. The ranking below uses 2 measures: how many of the film industries Filmyzilla copies the platform covers (Hindi, South Indian and Hollywood), and whether it has a free tier.

1. Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video covers Hindi films, all 4 South Indian industries and Hollywood. It is the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam home of Kalki 2898 AD, and of Pathaan in Hindi. Titles that are not included in Prime can often be rented or bought in the same app.

2. Netflix

Netflix carries big Hindi and South Indian releases with audio in several languages. Leo streams on Netflix in 5 languages, and Animal and Pushpa 2: The Rule both reached Netflix 8 weeks after their cinema release. Netflix also has a large Korean drama and Hollywood library.

3. JioHotstar

JioHotstar combines Indian films and TV shows with Disney, Marvel and HBO titles and live sports. It launched on 14 February 2025, when JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merged into one platform. Part of its catalogue is free with ads.

4. ZEE5

ZEE5 is strongest for Hindi and regional films and Zee TV shows. It holds the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions of RRR. ZEE5 also has a free section with ads.

5. Amazon MX Player

Amazon MX Player is completely free with ads. It formed in October 2024, when Amazon bought MX Player and merged it with its free miniTV service. It carries Indian originals such as Aashram and dubbed international titles.

6. Sony LIV

Sony LIV focuses on Hindi originals, films and Sony TV shows. Its best-known original is the web series Scam 1992.

7. YouTube

YouTube has free full films on the official channels of studios and music labels, and paid rentals from producers. Only uploads from the studio's own verified channel are licensed.

Amazon said its merged MX Player service reached over 250 million users. On YouTube, studios and labels such as Rajshri and Shemaroo upload older Hindi films for free. JioHotstar and ZEE5 also keep part of their catalogue free, but new releases on both usually need a subscription.

Best Filmyzilla Alternative for Each Language

Each Indian film industry has a different strongest platform. The table below matches each language with the platforms that carry the most films in it, including the dedicated regional apps.

Filmywap, Hdhub4u and Vegamovies Are Not Alternatives

Filmywap, Afilmywap, Filmy4wap, Hdhub4u, Vegamovies, Khatrimaza, Movierulz, 9xmovies, FilmyFly and Filmyhit are piracy sites. They copy films without a licence, the same way Filmyzilla does. Moving from Filmyzilla to any of them carries the same legal risk and the same malware risk.

Why These Sites Keep Changing Their Names

Sites like Afilmywap and Filmy4wap use many names and domains because internet providers block each address after a court order. The operators then register a new spelling or extension. Searches such as "filmy4wep", "afilmywap" and "filmywap xyz" come from that constant renaming.

1. Stable address: the domain does not change every few months.
2. Official app: the app is on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store under a named company.
3. Payment or in-player ads: it charges a subscription or shows ads inside the video player, not redirecting pop-ups.
4. Release timing: new cinema releases appear weeks after their cinema run, not on release day.
5. Clean labels: titles do not carry piracy labels such as CAMRip, PreDVD or HDTS.
6. Company details: the site names its owner and has a privacy policy and terms of use.
